Arizona build is coming to fruition!

We have all been patiently waiting since March of 2020 to get anything done -- most everyone has had most of their lives put on hold or altered in some way. Our programs are no different. Thankfully all of our sponsors have stuck behind us and people throughout the country continue to champion our cause -- getting kids exposed to tools, working with their hands, and using their creative brain and logical brain at the same time. Showing kids that they can learn a trade, make really cool stuff and make a living without having to get a 4/5/6 year college degree. We have a commitment and the first 'official' build working with kids in a high school setting will take place at Round Valley High School in Springerville/Eagar, Arizona. The build will take place the week of April 19th 2021 and will end by driving the vehicle into the Chrome In The Dome car show that Saturday just a couple blocks from the auto shop class. The build team will be limited and the number of people and kids p

Are you tired of sitting in your house, waiting for things to change, waiting for 'the right time'? Well here at Wrenching For The Future we are MORE then ready to get going. During the week of January 16 through the 23rd at our home base in Stillwater, MN a bunch of the guys from the board and from our group of advocates will start the build that will become the 'Merch Truck' for WFTF merchandise. The inside will be cleaned up and painted so that the merchandise stays nice and clean, but don't get me wrong it will be a Rat Rod through and through with an original patina body no doubt. We are hoping there might be some kids who would want to come by and help work on it -- giving them a true Wrenching For The Future experience. They can learn welding, plasma torching, grinding, using an impact tool, a Sawzal

If you own a company or work for a company that is finding it more and more difficult to find good trainable people interested in putting in a hard days work -- then you are not alone! Since there has been a significant emphasis put on getting kids into college, the skills gap grows wider every day. Not everyone is cut out for a 4 year degree. Like Mr. Mike Rowe has stated over and over "America is lending money it doesn't have to kids who can't pay it back to train them for jobs that no longer exist. That's Nuts."  If they make it to graduation they owe so much loan debt it can take them 1/2 their working years to pay back if they can actually get a job in their field. There is collectively 1.5 trillion in unpaid student loans owned in America today.  But it doesn't need to be this way. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 7 million jobs are available in the US, the majority of them do not require a 4 year degree. All it takes is a little hard wor
